Ernest Ray Reed

Ernest R. Reed, 52, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Friday, November 30, 2018, at his home.

He was born November 6, 1966 in Hazard, Kentucky.

On February 1, 1985 he married Melissa Ison in Hazard.

She survives along with three sons, Alex (Tori) Reed of Goshen, Ernest (fiancé, Christine) Reed of Sturgis, Michigan and Raymond Reed of Goshen; four grandchildren, Felicity, Natalie, Kacy and Jaxon; his mother, Ruth (Newberry) Fortune; a brother, Charles (Delora) Reed of Topeka; two brothers-in-law, Frankie Newberry and Chuck Russell, and a host of extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ernest Reed.

Mr. Reed worked as a supervisor at Lippert Components.  He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, University of Kentucky and Star Wars

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral where a 1 p.m. funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 6.  Pastor Phillip Lucas, Ashley Love Divine Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery.
