Erma M. Munson

Erma M. Davis Munson, 91, of Goshen, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at IU Health Goshen Hospital from complications from congestive heart failure. She was born in Goshen on March 11, 1919, to the late Martin and Mabel (Berkey) Lehman. She married Alva Davis on June 7, 1947, in Goshen.  He died July 26, 1953.  On October 22, 1955, in Goshen, she married Harry Munson.  He died May 30, 1968. Mrs. Munson is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Dan) Bair of Forest City, North Carolina and Jeannie (Michael) Pennington of Goshen; two grandsons, Andrew and Daniel Royer; two granddaughters, Lucretia (Jonathan) Homes and Ashley Pennington; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertha Kauffman, Pauline Hostetler and Betty Eaton A lifetime Goshen resident, Mrs. Munson graduated from New Paris High School in 1938 and was a member of First Church of God, Goshen.  She had worked at IXL and Homecrest Corporation. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at First Church of God, Goshen. An 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at First Church of God, Goshen with Pastor Troy Scott of First Church of God, and Pastor Craig Garber of Christian Fellowship of Goshen will officiate. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God.
