Erma J. Lechlitner

Erma J. Lechlitner, 85, of Berne and formerly of Elkhart, died early Monday morning, October 24, 2011, at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born in Goshen, February 21, 1926, to Jacob H. and Ida M. (Loucks) Lechlitner. She married Dale L. Lechlitner in Milford on October 7, 1945. He died November 15, 2002. She is survived by three sons, Randy L. (Linda) Lechlitner of Wylie, Texas, Rick R. (Susan) Lechlitner of Berne, and Larry D. (Marguerite) Lechlitner of Kokomo; six grandchildren; two sisters, Treva (Walter) Shidler and LaVeta Weaver, both of Goshen; and two brothers, Kenneth (Betty) Lechlitner and Lowell (Velda) Lechlitner, both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Russell and two brothers, Walter and Floyd Lechlitner. A graduate of New Paris High School, Mrs. Lechlitner moved to Berne in 2008. She was a member of Zion Missionary Church, Elkhart. She worked at Mogul Rubber and Penn Electric. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Fater, Zion Missionary Church, Elkhart, and retired pastor Jack McGlasson, will officiate. Burial will follow in Olive West Cemetery, Wakarusa. Memorials may be given to Zion Missionary Church or donor's choice.
