Erdene Mishler, 92, of Goshen, passed away Thursday morning, July 9, 2015, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing after a two week illness. She was born February 19, 1923 in Goshen to Earl and Esther (Swihart) Phillips. On June 16, 1946 she married Arthur Ralph Huber. He died June 9, 1965. Later, on December 18, 1971 she married Howard F. Mishler. He died July 26, 2004. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Pat) Huber of Goshen and Donn (Nancy) Huber of New Paris; two daughters, Karen (Pete) Weddell and Beth (Lonney) Filbrun, both of Goshen; a step-son, Robert E. (Ann) Mishler of Las Vegas, New Mexico; a step-daughter-in-law, Connie Randolph of Bristol; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three sisters, Helen Steffen, Rosemary Williams and Louise Hostetler; a step-son, William Mishler and a step-grandson, Tom Mishler. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Mishler graduated from Goshen High School in 1941. She was a lifetime member of Rock Run Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday school for more than 40 years. She worked as a seamstress at House of Harter and Jean Lee originals. She also worked in the cafeteria at Clinton Community School and as an aide at Millersburg Elementary School. Friends may call Sunday, July 12, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 13. Pastor Tim Waits will officiate. Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rock Run Women's Work or The Care Foundation Inc.
