Emily L. York, 75, of Goshen, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
She was born December 14, 1941 in Albany, Kentucky to Theo and Maude (Andrews) York.
Survivors include five daughters, Jeannie (Steve) Dibble of Phoenix, Arizona, Tamara Hendrix and Melissa (Mike) Lantz, both of Goshen, Amie (fiancé Eric Eckelbarger) Kyle of Evansville, Wisconsin and Nicole Lewallen of Goshen; two sons, Paul Edward Hendrix and Steve W. Hendrix, both of Goshen; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Robinson and Lucille Diaz, both of Kokomo and Patricia York of West Virginia and a brother, Bill (Ethel) York of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Roy York and a sister, Jean Keith.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. York was a cosmetologist working at J.C. Penney beauty salon and teaching cosmetology in Kokomo for a couple of years.
She was a member of The Life Center, Goshen.
Friends may call Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Tuesday, funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Brenda Fritz of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to The Life Center, Goshen.
