Emily L. Kee, 82, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Monday morning, August 9, 2010, at her home. She was born in Glenville, West Virginia on December 13, 1927 to Fred and Sarah (Radcliff) Fortney. She married Robert Earl Kee on August 16, 1949 in Parsons, West Virginia. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Debby (Bob) Heddrick of Goshen; a son, Michael (Pam) Kee of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna (Jay) Janse of Carencro, Louisiana; and three brothers, Alan (Kathy) Fortney of Dublin, Ohio, Haymond Fortney of Montana Mines, West Virginia and Freddie Fortney of Fairmont, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Berry and Ella Mae Harrell and a brother, Nelson Fortney. A Goshen resident for five years, Mrs. Kee had retired after a long career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, thoroughly enjoying vacations at Fort Lauderdale, Carolina Beach, Boca Raton, and Pensacola. A devoted grandmother, she took pleasure and delight doting on her grandchildren. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and a 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2010, memorial service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Dr. Robert Pfiel will officiate.
