Emerson E. Blosser, 84, of Goshen, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Goshen Hospital.
    
    
   
  
   
    He was born July 11, 1932 in Columbiana, Ohio to Samuel and Sadie (Spiker) Blosser.
    
    
   
  
   
    On August 10, 1968 he married Stella E. Yoder in Goshen.  She died May 7, 2010.
    
    
   
  
   
    Survivors include a son, Marc (Angie) Blosser and a daughter, Tricia E. Blosser, both of Goshen; two grandsons, Ryan and Brenden Blosser and two brothers, Arthur Blosser of Columbiana and Marcellus “Perc” (Becky Tyson) Blosser of Goshen.
    
    
   
  
   
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; four sisters, Adelia Musselman, Berdella Miller, Christine Huffman and Hermine Blosser and a brother, Herman Blosser.
    
    
   
  
   
    Five years ago Mr. Blosser moved to Waterford Crossing and was very happy with his new home.  He developed special friendships with many of the staff and residents.
    
    
   
  
   
    A school teacher in the Westview Schools, Mr. Blosser graduated from Goshen College and earned a master’s degree from St. Francis in Fort Wayne.
    
    
   
  
   
    He was a very active member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church.  He enjoyed playing church league softball and games that involved thinking and strategy.
    
    
   
  
   
    Friends may call Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 3 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, March 26, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.  Pastors Ron Diener and Tyler Hartford and Deacon Norman Maust will officiate.
    
    
   
  
   
    Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
