Eloise Wray, 88, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, June 19, 2011, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She had been in failing health since the end of May. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on August 20, 1922 to the late Alfred and Ethel (Daily) Toll. She married Ralph Stuckey on July 22, 1950 in Marion. He died December 1, 1981. She then married Robert J. Wray in Marion on May 3, 1990. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2011. A Goshen resident for the past 11 years, Mrs. Wray graduated from Marion High School in 1941. She attended Indiana Business College in Marion and had worked for Marion's Chronicle Tribune as the "Society" editor and then for the Indianapolis Times as their "society" writer. She also worked as an optician for Snowhite-Reid Medical Corp for almost 30 years in Marion. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Goshen, and a former member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Marion, Indiana. Her proudest contribution was when she served as a nurses' aide during World War II. She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Mark) Colglazier of Goshen and Beth Ellen (Corbin Kent) King of Carmel; a son, David Stuckey of Noblesville; a step-daughter, Cathy (Daniel) Brown of Marion; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death a brother, Alfred "Bud" Toll. Friends may call 11 to 12 p.m., Thursday, June 30 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 12, noon, Thursday, June 30, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home with Pastors Ed and Brenda Fritz of First United Methodist Church, Goshen, officiating. Family and friends will meet for burial at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011, at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Hospital for Children or to the Marion Boys and Girls Club.
