Elnora R. Beachy

Elnora R. Beachy, 87, of Goshen, died late Tuesday afternoon, October 28, 2008, at Greencroft Healthcare after an extended illness. She was born in Allen County, Indiana, on June 20, 1921, to Salomon and Emma (Hunt) Richer.   She married Orville Beachy on October 25, 1941, in Goshen.  He preceded her November 30, 1986. Mrs. Beachy was a member of First United Methodist Church where she did volunteer services.  She was also a patroness of the Delta Chi Sigma Sorority.  She worked in the cafeteria at Fairfield High School; Johnson Controls; and helped her husband on the Middlebury farm.  She traveled with her husband when he was in the military services. She is survived by a nephew, James (Diana) Method of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a niece, Pam (John) Legg, III of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Amanda Method and Martha Krauter; and a brother, S. Harvey Richer. Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, November 1, at the funeral home. A 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2008, funeral service will be at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pamela Kling, Pastoral Assistant at First United Methodist Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
