Elnora Marie Babin Rhine

Elnora Marie Babin Rhine, 80, of Fishers, and formerly of Goshen, died Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Bickford of Carmel.

She was born March 7, 1942, in Millersburg to Marvin and Susan (Bontrager) Kauffman.

Survivors include two daughters, Brianna (Doug) Yoder of Elkhart and Michele Babin of Fishers; a sister, Eunice (Doug) Blodgett of Bradford, Illinois, and a brother, Verl (Miriam) Kauffman of Goshen and Sarasota, Florida.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David J. Babin; second husband Ronald Rhine and a sister, Twyla Haarer.

Elnora worked as a unit secretary and administrative assistant in the healthcare field for many years, starting with Goshen General Hospital in 1969 and retiring from that career at Oaklawn in 2002. She was a board member and secretary at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Church in the past and then later with the Church of the Brethren. She was an avid hot air balloon collector and passenger, loved animals and especially her cats, and enjoyed scrapbooking, decorating, bird watching, gardening, and the color purple.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the 12 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
