Elmer I. Neff, 91, of Goshen and formerly of New Paris, died Saturday, May 11, 2019, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.
He was born February 18, 1928 in Elkhart to Murrill and Bernice (Clark) Neff.
On September 18, 1948 he married Dorothy L. Lemler in Nappanee.
She survives along with two children, Diane (Harvey) Rodman and Jerry (Jessica) Neff, both of New Paris; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Hollar of Goshen and a brother, Robert Neff of New Paris.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Waneta Kuczynski and Anna Mary Wilhelm and a brother, Harold “Bud” Neff.
An Army veteran, Elmer co-owned, with his brothers, Neff Mason Contracting for 45 years. He was an avid fisherman, tallying his daily catches on a calendar. He also enjoyed deer hunting and mushroom hunting.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019, funeral will be conducted. Pastor Rob Nelson, Grace United Methodist Church, New Paris, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Hospice and Home Care or Grace United Methodist Church.
