Elmer Warren Grimm

March 11, 1921 — May 14, 2012

Elmer Warren Grimm, 91, of Goshen, died at his home early Monday afternoon, May 14, 2012, after an extended illness. He was born March 11, 1921 in Grand Ledge, Michigan, to Russell and Vira (Doolittle) Grimm. He married Marjorie A. Gale August 18, 1942 in Ligonier. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Linda (Edward) Bechtel of Elkhart; two sons, Jerry W. Grimm of Goshen and James P. (Karen) Grimm of Mishawaka; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl R. Grimm. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Grimm was a truck driver for Starcraft, Zook, Inc and G & R. Transport. He was a member of Teamster Local #364 and the Millersburg American Legion #484. He served with the US Army during World War II in the Aleutian Islands. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 17, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2012, funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Jim Shrock will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, where a military graveside will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
