Ellen Leora Honey

Ellen L. Honey, 77, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at her home from natural causes.

She was born January 5, 1943 in Elkhart to Charles Alvin and Murriel Lydia (Ridenour) White.

On July 18, 1959 she married Willie E. Honey in Elkhart.  He died February 14, 2014.

Survivors include four children, Sharon (Lawrence) Brooks of Saginaw, Michigan, and Roxane Honey, Connie (Dennis) Swathwood, and Wille E. (Tammy) Honey, all of Elkhart; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandbaby and two brothers, Eudell “Bub” and Lavern “Vern” White.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and a “special” sister-in-law, Eleanor White.

A homemaker, Ellen enjoyed watching game shows and was an avid coupon clipper.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Deacon Lawrence Brooks, son-in-law, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society.
