Ellen L. Guilfoos

Goshen – Ellen L. Guilfoos, 89, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.  She had been in declining health for a month. She was born in Mishawaka on August 10, 1920 to the late Howard and Marie (Stover) Steele. She married Harold Guilfoos on September 25, 1938 in Goshen.  He died August 30, 1992. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca (Gene) Inbody, and a son; Craig (Waneta) Guilfoos, both of Goshen; eight grandchildren, Randy (Karen) Inbody, Stephanie (Tom) Wilhelm, Jill (Mike) McHenry, Tim (Connie) Guilfoos, Corey (Sonia) Guilfoos , Kevin (Edelyne) Guilfoos , Sheena Guilfoos and Kayla Guilfoos; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Phil Guilfoos in 1999; and three brothers, Gene, Robert and Howard Steele. A homemaker, Mrs. Guilfoos was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen. Friends may call 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 13, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10:00 a.m., Saturday, funeral service will be conducted.  Rev. David Boothby will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be made to Plymouth United Church of Christ or American Cancer Society.
