Ella J. Shively, 92, of Elkhart, died early Wednesday evening, February 28, 2007, at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen. She was born February 23, 1915, in Nappanee to John and Emma (Borkholder) Miller. She retired from Mogul Rubber after 27 years. A lifetime resident of the area, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Goshen. She enjoyed quilting, baking and her grandchildren. She is survived byfour daughters, Esther Marie (Forrest) Hershberger, Ella Jane (Robert) Spring, Betty Patterson, and June Wilson, all of Goshen; five sons, Gene (Sylvia) Lambright of Goshen, A.L. Homer (Erma) Lambright of Leesburg, Florida, Arthur Lambright of Plant City, Florida, Jim L. (Olivia) Lambright of Elkhart, and Robert Shively of Pierceton, Indiana; and more than 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Esther Eash of Howe, Indiana and Mary Ann Schrock of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Nafziger; two sisters, Sarah Mae Miller and Katie Cross; and five brothers, William, Willard, Andrew, Ruben and Isaac Miller. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 2, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2007 funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Gene Lambright, her son, and Rev. Gregg Lanzen of the First Baptist Church, Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to C.A.M.
