Ella Mae Chupp, 90, of Goshen and formerly of Millersburg, passed away late Sunday night, June 23, 2013, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care. She was born April 24, 1923 in Colon, Michigan, to William and Lydia (Yoder) Hochstetler. She married Levi M. Chupp November 24, 1945 in Denison, Iowa. He died June 9, 1999. She is survived by four children, Sara Jean Zook of Goshen, Susie (Lynn) Kauffman of Middlebury, Sheryle (Robert) Barden of Elkhart, and William Dean (Jane) Chupp of Bristol; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and twin brother, Albert (Lizzie) Hochstetler, Sturgis, Michigan. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Ervin, Amos, Alvin, Eli and Sylvanus Hochstetler and three sisters, Mary Bontrager, Lizzie Lehman and Sarah Yoder. An area resident since 1953, Mrs. Chupp, a homemaker, was known for her skills as a seamstress. She was a member of Clinton Brick Mennonite Church. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and again from 9 to 10 a.m., Friday, June 28, at Clinton Brick Mennonite Church. Burial will follow the visitation. A 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, memorial service will be held at Clinton Brick Mennonite Church. Pastor David Hathaway will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton Brick Mennonite Church.
