Elizabeth Rebecca Snoke

Elizabeth Rebecca Snoke, 73, of Tucson, Arizona, died Sept. 20, 2014 in a Tucson nursing home where she resided for a number of years. She was born October 4, 1940 in Goshen the daughter of John J. and Elizabeth Dow Snoke. After graduating from Goshen High School she attended the University of Arizona, Tucson where she obtained both a bachelor and a master's degree in library science. She taught school in Arizona for several years, before becoming a librarian in the Department of the Army's library system. She served as librarian at various installations including Tripler Army Hospital, Hawaii. After retirement she returned to Tucson where she was a school librarian until ill health compelled her to retire completely. She never married and had no children. Both parents predeceased her. Survivors include an older brother, Myron Dow Snoke of Cincinnati, Ohio, a nephew, Dave Snoke and a grand-nephew, Jarrett Snoke, both of Goshen. In accordance with her request, her body was cremated. A brief graveside service will be held in the Dow plot at Violett Cemetery on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 1 p.m.
