Elizabeth Yoder-Miller Rodriguez, 86, of Goshen, died Monday morning, August 31, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born in Elkhart County, on May 6, 1923, to Jonas and Barbara (Schmucker) Yoder. Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of the Alzheimer Support Group, Fort Wayne, Tri Lake Overlander; and Three Rivers Food Co-Op. She sold jewelry, clothing and home decorations in home parties. She had also worked in the cafeteria at ITT in Fort Wayne and Penn Controls in Goshen. She is survived by a daughter, Barb (Bruce) Kistler of New Haven, Indiana; one son, Vernon (Nancy) Miller of O’Fallon, Missouri; five step-children, Lamar Meramonteo of Houston, Texas, Amelia Escobedo of West Bloomfield, Michigan, alice Guerrero of Warren, Michigan, Arturo Rodriguez of Houston, Texas, and Louis Rodriguez of Fredericksburg, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; three sisters, Katie (Albert) Graber of Nappanee, Barbara Helmuth of Shipshewana, and Clara (Melvin) Miller of Milford; and a brother, Glen (Sherrill) Yoder of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Rodriguez; three sisters, Lydia Mae (Ivan) Hochstetler, Emma (Andy) Burkholder and Wilma (John) Schlabach; and two brothers, Owen and Elmer Yoder. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Evergreen Place at Greencroft, Goshen. Chaplain Vanette Kashmer will officiate. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Memorial contributions may be given to Greencroft Foundation.
