Elizabeth J. Miller

Elizabeth "Liz" J. Miller of Goshen, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born in Curtis, Wisconsin on January 25, 1944, to John and Barbara Miller. Liz was a waitress for many years after raising six children. She also worked as a housekeeper at a small, rural hospital in Wisconsin before moving to Indiana where she worked in the kitchen at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus. She also worked as a kitchen aide at a nursing home before retiring.

Liz enjoyed putting puzzles together; often gluing them so she could hang them on her walls to display. She also enjoyed quilting and made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and playing a good game of Hand and Foot cards.

Liz leaves behind four children: Fannie Borntrager, Oregon, WI, Ray (Tracy) Borntrager, Weyauwega, WI, Bill (Candice) Borntrager, Goshen, IN, and Rose (Alex) Thompson, Kaukauna, WI, as well as her daughter-in-law Sherry Borntrager, Bristol, IN, her grandchildren: McKenzie, Tiffany (Troy), Josh, Jessica, Jenna, Jared, Jolie (Jordan), Micah, William, Joey (Breanna), and Riley, her great-granddaughters: Nevaeh and Harley, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, as well as her sons, Leroy and Harley.

Services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Community Church of Waterford. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the 12 p.m. Memorial Service.  A  fellowship meal will be provided by the church after the service.
