Elizabeth "Betty" H. Huffman

Elizabeth “Betty” H. Huffman, 94, of Elkhart,  passed away Friday, January 13, 2023.

She was born October 30, 1928 in Goshen to Nicholas and Harriet (Flager) Douma.

On September 5, 1946 she married Paul W. Huffman.  He died Nov. 15, 2014.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory (Shirley) Huffman and Doug (Sharon) Huffman, both of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Tonya Johnson, Sean Huffman, Kari Jones and Angela Tucker; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter and a sister, Roberta (Orville) Burkholder of Goshen.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Schwalm and Jacqueline Yoder and a brother, Jacob Douma.

Betty was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Goshen, where she was involved in the flower ministry.  She enjoyed breakfast with friends and cards with her sisters.

She worked as an Export Documentation Specialist at Miles Pharmaceutical.

Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21, funeral service will be conducted.

Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Heart to Heart Hospice or First United Methodist Church, Goshen.
