Eldon “Eldie” Ray Troyer, 80, of Goshen, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 31, 2024, at home.
He was born March 26, 1944 in Goshen to Owen and Ada (Bontrager) Troyer.
On February 14, 1970 he married Deborah Sue Swihart in New Paris. She died October 16, 2020.
Survivors include two children, Jeff (Candy) Troyer of Millersburg and Kim (Aaron) Rink of Goshen; two grandchildren, Leah and Addison Rink; a step-grandson, Matthew Holland; three brothers, Lloyd Troyer of Middlebury, Verton (Amy) Troyer of Warsaw and Mervin Troyer of Goshen and a sister, Dorothy (Joe) Stutzman.
Eldie was a longtime and active member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church serving on many committees. He was a member of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board, serving as president in 2003.
He started Mobile Glass later becoming Harmon Glass and finally Glass Doctor. In his retirement he continued doing glass work on classic cars.
Visitation will be Monday, April 8, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. There will also be visitation on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. Pastors Wesley Miller and Craig Garber will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial donations may be given to Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church.
