Services for Eileen Manahan will be 11 a.m. Wednesday following visitation beginning at 9:30 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen. There will also be visitation from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. She requested cremation following the funeral in keeping with environmental beliefs. Eileen was born September 26, 1935 in Goshen, the daughter of Mirl A. and Eva Mae (Reiff) Conrad. She departed February 9 after complications from open heart surgery to rejoin them and her sisters Beverly Duttwyler and Donna Gibson who preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons Douglas Manahan, Goshen and Charles S. (Patty) Manahan of Sarasota, FL; a granddaughter Meghan Manahan, Pittsburgh, PA.; brothers Don Conrad, Osceola; Rocky Sinniquefield, Winthrop Harbor, IL; James Conrad, Scurry, TX; and Tom Conrad, Goshen, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Eileen graduated from Goshen High School in 1953. She was a longtime office employee in the bookkeeping departments at IXL Furniture and Rieth-Riley Construction Company in Goshen and Utopia Coach in Elkhart. She also worked at Maplecrest Country Club and the Black Knight. She was a 47-year season ticket holder to Notre Dame football games, an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling, having lunch with friends and old schoolmates and especially watching her granddaughter perform on stage.
