Edward P. Mitchell

Edward P. Mitchell, 76, of Cassopolis, Michigan and formerly of Goshen, passed away at his home on May 14, 2022.

He was born November 25, 1945, to F. Paul and Irene (Stefanscik) Mitchell.

Ed graduated from Goshen High School and Goshen College. He married Linda M. (Vore) on April 12, 2003.

He was a successful businessman and third generation owner operator of Mitchell, Inc. in Elkhart prior to his retirement.

Ed was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Edwardsburg, Michigan. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Along with his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Edward Mitchell; brothers Ronald S. Mitchell and Thomas C. Mitchell and sister Patricia A. Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife Linda; a daughter Tamara (Bill) Appenzeller of Milford; bonus daughter Megan (Andrew) Dickson of Lynden, Washington; bonus son Jason Vore of Treasure Island, Florida; a sister Jane (Dr Steven) West of Seymour; nine grandchildren Scott Griffith, Greg (Sydney) Appenzeller, Chloe Vore, Caleb Vore, Nick Vore, Sloan Dickson, Wren Dickson, Layne Dickson and Wells Dickson; a great granddaughter, Brooklyn; a niece Kathleen (Ryan) Smith; and four nephews, Nicholas West, Samuel West, Patrick West, and Daniel (Christine) West.

A private mass and graveside service will be held.
