Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m., until the 11 a.m. memorial service at New Paris Church of the Brethren. The family requests visitors wear masks and observe physical distancing guidelines.
A graveside service with military honors will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
Edward L. Miller, 80 of Bristol died Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Goshen Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1940 in LaGrange County to Jacob J.L. and Moda J. (Miller) Miller.
On December 19, 1992 he married Darla (Unzicker) Miller. She survives along with his daughter, Bettina (Kelley Sunglieng) Miller of Elbert, Colorado; a son, Todd (Melissa) Miller of Goshen; two grandchildren; Mia Miller (Charles) and Austin Miller (Lyndi) and two great granddaughters, Harper and Braelynn.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Atlee, Ervin and Joe Miller, and two sisters, Fannie Christner and Sarah Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of New Paris Church of the Brethren, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in Korea with the military police, obtaining the rank of Specialist. He was a founding partner of L&M Electric in Goshen and its owner operator until his retirement.
Ed was a faithful member of the Goshen VFW Honor Guard at Post 985. He enjoyed traveling the United States and spending time with his dog Sheba, his loyal companion. Ed could always be found outside working on a new project and he had a passion for flying, spending many hours in the air.
Due to current social restrictions; a private family viewing will take place at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A memorial service and graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date at New Paris Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the New Paris Church of the Brethren, VFW Honor Guard or Humane Society of Elkhart County.
