Edward D. Jones

Edward D. Jones, 87, of Goshen, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen, where he had been a resident for five years. He was born May 6, 1922, to Albert and Elizabeth (Smith) Jones in Kokomo, Indiana. On February 28, 1942 he married Sara M. Miller in Goshen. She died March 27, 2006. He is survived by a daughter Theresa (Jack) Randolph, two sons John (Linda) Jones and Michael (Deb) Jones, all of Goshen; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Jones worked at Goshen Manufacturing as a welder and press operator. In his early years he drove in stock car racing competitions. He was a longtime member of the Goshen Eagles Lodge. In his retirement he enjoyed fishing. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the funeral home. Tim Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Baintertown Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to the Goshen Eagles Lodge.
