Edward L. Bechtel

Edward L. Bechtel, 69, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born September 1, 1946 in Goshen to Lowell Ray and Sarah Elizabeth (Whirledge) Bechtel.
On January 15, 1965 he married Linda L. Grimm.
She survives along with two children, Wendy Bechtel-Swann of Elkhart and Bob (Julie) Bechtel of Kalamazoo, Michigan; five grandchildren, Katlynn, Elizabeth and Steve Swann and Kevin and Ross Bechtel; two great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Max Swann; and two siblings, Jane (David) Troup and Tom (Jeannette) Bechtel, both of Goshen.
A sales manager for Nobi Corporation, Mr. Bechtel volunteered as a Boy Scout leader for 40 years in Martinsville and Elkhart.
Friends may call Friday, January 29, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Brenda Sawatzky Paetkau of 8th Street Mennonite Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care.
