Edna Hunsberger, 96, of Goshen, died Friday, January 11, 2019, at Green House Village of Goshen.
She was born March 27, 1922 to Ishmael and Fanny (Snyder) Martin on the family farm in Conestoga, Ontario, Canada, where on August 3, 1946 she married Paul A. Hunsberger. He died May 19, 2016.
Survivors include five children; Joy (Robert) Beiler of Goshen, Gay (Sanford) Lehman of Goshen, Gloria (James) Schwartz of Aurora, Ohio, Grace (Evan) Roth of Littleton, Colorado, and Ray (Mary) Hunsberger of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother Harold Martin of Conestoga, Ontario.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Sally Schwartz; two sisters, Mabel Brubacher and Naomi Brubacher; and two brothers, Vernon and Oscar Martin.
A longtime member of College Mennonite Church, Mrs. Hunsberger was active in her church, including WMSC. She was also involved in Bible Study Fellowship, serving on the board of The Window, and helping with the Meals on Wheels program. She played an integral role with her husband, Paul, in mission work in Northern Ontario and Tri-Lakes Chapel, Bristol, Indiana.
Edna was a gracious hostess, avid reader and enjoyed gardening and working with flowers.
Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2019, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, where an 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted Saturday. Pastors Pamela Yoder and Ron Kennel will officiate.
Memorials may be given to The Window, Inc., Goshen.
