Edna Thomas

Edna Thomas, 94, of Goshen, passed away on March 20, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1931, in Middlebury, Indiana, to Samuel D. and Lizzie (Yoder) Thomas.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Diana Mast, Irene Yoder, Orpha Troyer, Ella Thomas, Ralph Thomas, Henry Thomas, Melvin Thomas, and Vernon Thomas; as well as seven nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her brother, Orval Thomas of Grabil; 18 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Edna also held the cherished role of great-great-great aunt, a title she embraced with great joy and pride.

Edna was a faithful member of North Goshen Mennonite Church. Edna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at 14 and was baptized. She was also active in the North Goshen Red Hat Society, the Greencroft Auxiliary, the Oaklawn Auxiliary, and The Depot. She dedicated 39 years of service working as an assistant in the shipping department at NIBCO. In her free time, Edna enjoyed crocheting and loved visiting with family, always cherishing time spent together.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place following the service at Miller 8 Square Cemetery in Middlebury.
