Edna Mae (Troyer) Frye, 95, of Goshen passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
She was born September 3, 1925 in Midland, Michigan to John D. and Catherine “Kate” (Miller) Troyer.
On December 14, 1947 she married Harley N. Frye. He died February 15, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Jean (Daryl) Yoder and a son, Roger Lee (Joyce) Frye, both of Goshen; two grandchildren, Jonathon (Kendra) Yoder of Wakarusa and Kelsey (Ryan) Rodriguez of Goshen; and four great-grandchildren, Ellie, Maggie and Spencer Yoder and Jaxson Rodriguez.
To a multitude of other children, she was also known as Aunt Edna, mom and grandma. She loved them all.
Along with her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Edward Troyer, and two sisters, Alice Marie Troyer (died at 2 years of age) and Joanna Graber.
Edna was a lifelong homemaker, home health care giver, a wonderful cook and seamstress. She did clothing alterations for many years, along with cake decorating, knitting, crocheting and card making. She also loved to play cards and games and belonged to many card groups. She attended Clinton Frame Church.
Every five years on her birthday, Edna would ride a horse. She rode her last one on her 90 th birthday.
Private family services will take place with burial at Eden Cemetery, Topeka.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
