Edith D. Shanholt, 77, of Elkhart died Monday, April 24, 2023 at home surrounded by family.

She was born October 25, 1945 in Goshen to Vernon E. and Mary (Bontrager) Slabaugh.

On January 1, 1997 she married Jack Shanholt in Elkhart.

He survives along with her sons Jeffrey (Lisa) Bollman of Billings, Montana and Matthew (Bethany) Bollman of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; Jack’s daughters, Tammy (Chris) Fardulis of Walkerton and Jennifer Underwood of Elkhart, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Gary (Deb) Slabaugh of Tucson, Arizona and Marlin (Betty) Slabaugh of Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma and a brother, Alvin.

A graduate of Bethany Christian High School, Edith worked in the office of College Mennonite Church.

Private burial will be in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 2222 W. Indiana Ave., Elkhart.
