Edith "Madge" Manrow, 90, of Plantation, Florida and formerly of Goshen, went to be the Lord on March 24, 2012 after succumbing to a condition related to Alzheimer's disease. She was born December 23, 1921 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Albert and Freda DeWilde. She married Jack Manrow, a Goshen High School classmate. They were married for 67 years. He survives along with a daughter, Debbie L. Kurtgis; two grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan Miskura; two great-grandchildren, McKailee and Chris, Jr.; a brother, Gordon DeWilde of Middlebury and a sister, Gladys Bickel of Goshen. Madge was raised in Goshen and graduated from Goshen High School. She and her husband moved to South Florida in 1959 where she went on to establish a career with Singer Sewing Corp. and retired after managing the center in Hollywood, Florida. She was a member of her community Women's Club, supporting and donating her time planting in parks and other community beautification projects. Baking, sewing, boating and ocean fishing, playing cards and spending time with family were here passions. She loved beach days with her visiting sister, Gladys, and ballgames, rooting for her grandsons. A memorial service was held in Plantation, Florida in March. A public graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Friends can meet at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Pastor Jim Shrock will officiate. Memorials may be made to Greencroft Healthcare or to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
