Earla Ruth Bennett

Earla Ruth Bennett, 92, of Goshen, died Monday, November 10, 2008. She was born in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1916 to Amos and Annie (Miller) Hostetter.  She married Ernest Bennett in Pennsylvania on July 12, 1941.  He survives.   Mrs. Bennett worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a homemaker, and a catering assistant at Greencroft for 10 years.  She was a member of Prairie Street Mennonite Church.   She is survived by her husband; a son, Ernest Dale (Millie) Bennett of Castle Rock, Colorado; two daughters, Kathy (Rick) Stiffney and Joan (Todd) Yoder, both of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and one sister.   She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, and one grandson, Seth Whicker.   Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and 9:30-10 a.m. Friday at Prairie Street Mennonite Church.   A procession to the cemetery will leave the church at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2008.  Rev. Andrew Kreider of Prairie Street Mennonite Church will officiate.   Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Mission Network.
