Earchle M. Beecham, 86, of Goshen, died early Friday morning, November 2, 2012, at Kindred Hospital, Mishawaka, where he had been since October 10. He was born September 22, 1926 in Henderson County, Tennessee to John Isaac and Matilda Ann (Davis) Beecham. He married Mary Alice Swihart. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Bryan Jay (Kathy) Beecham of Goshen; two grandchildren, Bill (Hope) Ragsdale and Paulynn (Jonathon) Brack; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lula Mae Butler of Lexington, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry W. Beecham in 1986; three brothers, Dorsey, Jimmy and Herchle Beecham; and a sister, Vassie Lee Waddle. A Goshen resident since 1954, Mr. Beecham retired from Duplex after 13 years. He had also worked at Kropf's for 19 years. A member of New Life Baptist Church, Mr. Beecham served with the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, November 4, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 11 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2012, funeral service. Pastor Robert Wood, of New Life Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Mission, Elkhart.
