Durbin Zook, 85, of Goshen, died early Tuesday afternoon, November 13, 2007, at his home. He was born in Surrey, North Dakota on July 23, 1922, to Solomon and Barbara (Yoder) Zook.  He married Mildred Yoder on August 12, 1951, in Surrey, North Dakota.  She survives. A Hesston High School graduate, Mr. Zook also graduated from Hesston College and Minot School of Business. Mr. Zook moved to Goshen in 2005, coming from Nampa, Idaho.  In 1978 he was appointed City Auditor for Minot, North Dakota and he retired in 1982 after 20 years of service.  He had also served as Treasurer and Account Clerk for Minot. He was a member of the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, Goshen and a former member of the Evergreen Heights Mennonite Church of Caldwell, Idaho.  He was a licensed minister in the Mennonite Church and along with his wife established a Mennonite Relief Agency gift shop in Minot and later in Nampa, Idaho. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Nancy (James) Eberly of Narvon, Pennsylvania, and Nadine (Daniel Z.) Miller of Goshen; two sons, Rodney (Julia) Zook of Munich, Germany, and Russell (Linda) Zook of Glendale, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd (Loretta) Zook of Hesston, Kansas. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Yoder and Ruby Weaver. Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, November 18 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Pastors Steve Thomas and Jane Buller of the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, along with Rev. Duane Oesch of the Evergreen Heights Mennonite Church of Caldwell, Idaho will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Care at Home Hospice or Mennonite Disaster Service.
