Duane Woofter

Duane Woofter, 83, of Goshen and formerly of Warren, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, August 18, 2015, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. He was born May 7, 1932 in Troy, West Virginia, to Robert and Opal (Reed) Woofter. Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Roger) Peachey of Goshen and Donna (Edward) Thomas of Raleigh, North Carolina; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Rymer of Lexington, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alan Robert Woofter; a brother, Elton Woofter and a sister, Annabelle Bush. A graduate of West Virginia University, Mr. Woofter was a 7th grade science teacher in Trumble County, Champion, Ohio. Services were held in Goshen.
