Douglas L. Harris

Douglas L. Harris, 61, of Goshen passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at home after a short illness.

He was born June 9, 1962 in Wabash.

He is survived by his mother Marilyn Joan (Crandall) Prickett of Wabash; two children, Ammie Harris and James (Jennifer) Harris, both of Warsaw; his girlfriend, Melissa Whipple of Goshen; three step-children, Michael (Season) Pennington and Jaidyn Whipple, both of Goshen and Kori Cook of Flint, Michigan; eight grandchildren and a brother, Dan Harris of Wabash.

He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Harris and a brother, Major General David Lee Harris.

A 1981 graduate of Southwood High School, Doug worked at Winnebago as an electrical group leader. He was a longtime Goshen Moose Lodge #836 member, a very avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle rider, and a very proud grandfather of Mercady, Alex, Isaiah, Ilyjah, Isaac, Arianna, Ivahn and Aliya.

Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., there will be a time for sharing of memories.

Cremation will take place following services.
