Douglas “Doug” D. Beck, 59, of Goshen, died Sunday, May 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 9, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois to Harold and Marion (Kuenzel) Beck.

On August 5, 1989 he married Tonnya Helmuth.

Doug worked as a supervisor at Veada Industries, New Paris, for more than 35 years, where co-workers were a second family to him.

A member of Grace Community Church, Doug lived his faith through his actions, his kindness, and his unwavering commitment to his family. He found great joy in raising his children and was a familiar, encouraging face on the sidelines as he coached his children’s Little League teams, instilling in them values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

His enthusiasm extended to the vibrant sounds of the Fairfield Marching Pride, whom he avidly supported, celebrating their dedication and performances with genuine pride.

Doug was a passionate sports fan. He cheered loyally for the Cubs, Colts and the Black Hawks, sharing in their victories. He once was a Notre Dame fan, but eventually converted into a Purdue fan. He also enjoyed camping and playing croquet.

He enjoyed spending his vacation time at St. Pete Beach and Mackinac Island.
