Dorthea Cuba Kindy

Dorthea Cuba Kindy, 97, died Thursday morning, November 18, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born May 9, 1913 in Middlebury to Oscar O. and Millie (Eash) Yoder.  She married Walter L. Kindy on June 16, 1939 in Middlebury.  He died September 16, 1984. Surviving are a son, Ken D. (Sharon) Kindy of Dunwoody, Georgia;  two grandchildren, Karisa Kindy and Walter Chadwick (Heather) Kindy; a great-grandson Parker Kindy; two sisters, Glenna Kindy of Goshen, and  Marilyn (Verl) Lindley of LaMirado, California; and a brother-in-law Arthur Sherck of Goshen She was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Ristow and Marjorie Sherck. A member of First Church of God, she graduated from Middlebury High School in 1932 and received an associate degree from Manchester College. She taught at Eight Square School and Middlebury Elementary School. All services will be private and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Hospital Foundation.
