Dorothy M. Stringfellow

Dorothy M. Stringfellow, 88, of Elkhart and formerly of Goshen, died Saturday evening, September 22, 2007, at Beverly Living Center, Elkhart.  She had been ill the past three years. She was born June 21, 1919, in Argos, Indiana, to William and Mary Alice (Beam) LaTurner.  She married Russell R. Stringfellow in Goshen on May 27, 1949.  He preceded her on December 16, 1967. Mrs. Stringfellow retired March 15, 1989 from Bower Manufacturing after 14 years.  She also had worked at Morris Dime Store and Goshen Rubber. A graduate of Argo High School, Mrs. Stringfellow attended First United Methodist Church, Goshen. She is survived by a son, Blane T. (Susan) Stringfellow of Goshen; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Velora McCoy and Lola Reinke; and a brother, Francis LaTurner. Family and friends will gather at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, to go in procession to Violett Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service.  Rev. Ed Fritz, of the First United Methodist Church, Goshen, will officiate.
