Dorothy E. Smalley

Dorothy E. Smalley, 81, of Goshen, died early Thursday morning, October 11, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Elkhart. She was born February 21, 1931 in Wolf Lake to Elba and Emma (Sutton) Keister. She married David Coleman in 1949 and Lyn Smalley in 1968. She is survived by a daughter, Deb Kincaid of Milford; a son, Russ (Sharon) Coleman of Goshen; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith Vance, Ruth McAdams, Velma Keister and Ida Faith Keister; and a brother, George Keister. A member of First Baptist Church, Goshen, she was an avid gardener and golfer. She worked as an inspector at Johnson Controls. Friends may call from 5 until the 7 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastors Gregg Lanzen and Jim Shrock will officiate. Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
