Dorothy Rassi

Dorothy (Haines) Rassi, 94, of Huntington, died Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Saint Anne’s at Victory Noll.

She was born September 9, 1926 in Goshen to Sam and Agnes (Grise) Haines.

On January 27, 1951 she married Lloyd Wade Rassi. He died October 7, 1980.

Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne (Max) Mault of Goshen and Maureen (Bill) Cole of Indianapolis; a son, Doug (Vicki) Rassi of Jeffersonville; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Beatrice Haines and Theresa (Richard) Copenhaver, both of Huntington; and a sister-in-law, Ann Haines, Goshen.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita L. Noftsier, a sister, Sister Monica Haines, and a brother, Samuel Haines.

Dorothy was a Goshen High School graduate and worked at Penn Controls where she met her future husband, Lloyd. Following marriage and raising a family, Mrs. Rassi worked as the guidance office secretary at Goshen High School until her retirement.

Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2021 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where an 11:30 a.m. rosary service will be held followed by a noon Funeral Mass. Father Logan Parrish will officiate.

Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
