Dorothy E. Leedy

Dorothy E. Leedy, 91, of Indianapolis, died early Tuesday morning, November 27, 2007, at Clarion West Hospital in Avon, Indiana. She was born in Bement, Illinois, on July 29, 1916, to Dale and Golda (Long) Benner.  She married Harold D. Leedy on August 1, 1943 in Ohio.  He preceded her in 1983. A nurse, Mrs. Leedy is survived by four sons, Howard (Rosie) Leedy of Lebanon, Indiana, John (Sharon) Leedy of Georgetown, Texas, Don Leedy of Zionsville, Indiana, and Charles Leedy of Fisher, Indiana; ten grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and a brother, Percy Benner. An 11:30 a.m. graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007, in Violett Cemetery.  Rev. David Leedy, a grandson, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Loveway, Inc.
