Dorothy E. Kohli, 79, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, April 9, 2013, at Greencroft Goshen Health Care after suffering a stroke Sunday morning. She was born April 17, 1933 in Noble County, near Cromwell, to Jonas S. and Dalila (Burkholder) Yoder. She married Willis G. Kohli August 31, 1957 in New Paris. He survives along with two children, Elaine (Mike) Stull, Jr. of Nappanee and Douglas Kohli of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Rachel (Jeremy) Schram of Michigan City, Matthew Stull of Lima, Ohio and Andrew and Daniel Stull at home; a sister, Esther Ritenour of Sebring, Florida; and a brother, John (Martha) Yoder of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mary Ann Goppert and Lydia Mae Bowman and five brothers, Levi, Harvey, Frank, Milo and Carl Yoder. A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Kohli graduated in 1952 from New Paris High School. She was a member of Berea Missionary Church and attended Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church until her health started failing. She worked at Farmer's Exchange, the Essenhaus and Middlebury Fabric Care from 1978 until retiring in 1990. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, and 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 2 p.m., funeral service will be conducted. Nephew Timothy Yoder will officiate. Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
