Dorothy May Huber

Dorothy May Huber, Goshen, 103, died Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born May 2, 1921 in Topeka to Adrian and Elizabeth (Burns) Carpenter.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Donna (Kenneth) Metzger, Goshen and Jane (James) Wixson, Elkhart; two sons, Larry (Charlotte) Huber, and Lowell Huber, both of Goshen; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sarah (Chuck) Nulf, San Diego, California, Ruth Myers, Goshen, and Carol (David) Garber, Goshen.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Bailey; five grandchildren, Steven Bontrager, Greg Oswald, Tammy Metzger, Heath Metzger, and Shawn Bontrager; and four sisters, Josephine Detwiler, Treva Kintner, Mary Leer, and Joy Wood; and four brothers, Bill, Donald, Roy and Bruce Carpenter.

Dorothy attended Rock Run Church of the Brethren for many years then later West Goshen Church. She retired from Goshen Rubber after 21 years of service.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and Friday, June 7, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Rock Run Cemetery.
