Dorothy June Brumbaugh, 95, of Goshen died early Thursday morning, February 25, 2016 at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born November 21, 1920 in Goshen to Powell H. and Ruth A. (Gunther) Widner.
On April 26, 1941 she married Marvin Brumbaugh. He died June 5, 1997.
Survivors include four daughters, Mavis (Wes) Miller of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Myra Miller of Goshen, Shirley Cutler of Warsaw and Meredith (Randall) Shriner of Goshen; a son, Kevin (Gail) Brumbaugh of Wakarusa; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Evelyn Orn and two brothers, Jerry and Powell Gene Widner.
Mrs. Brumbaugh was a homemaker and founding member of Grace Brethren Church, now known as Grace Community Church where she continued to attend until she was home bound. While at Grace Brethren she served as church secretary and participated in the Women’s Missionary Council. She also was an American Red Cross volunteer.
She enjoyed many hobbies including: canning and freezing produce for family, reading, feeding birds, crafts, bingo, and craft classes at Greencroft.
Visitation will be Monday, February 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 1, 2016 one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Brown and Chuck Cheek will officiate.
Burial will follow the service in Violett Cemetery.
