Dorothe "Dotti" D. Waller, 88, of Goshen, passed away at her home Saturday morning, September 12, 2015. She was born January 28, 1927 in Lansing, Michigan to Willard and Jessie (Orton) Dean. On October 2, 1967 she married Narvel "Roy" Waller in Goshen. He died March 17, 2011. Survivors include four daughters, Jacki (Monty) Coffman of Mishawaka; Marcia (Jack) Mitchell of Elkhart, Lee "Paula" Valentine of Jacksonville, Alabama and Dottie A. Bolinger of Goshen; four sons, John K. Johnson of Goshen, Clifford Gilbert of Dallas, Texas, Tim Riedner of Indianapolis and Robert R. Waller of Goshen; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Wilma Bender of Martinsville, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a son, Willard L. Johnson; a daughter, JoAnne Kotrba; two brothers, Charles and Richard Weinberg; a sister, Donna Walter and three grandchildren, Terry Ambrose, Tammy Waters & Johnny Johnson. A Goshen resident since 1966, Mrs. Waller retired from The Paper after 25 years. She was the first female cab driver in Goshen and operated the California Drive Inn from the mid 60's to early 70's. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Elkhart. Her hobbies included crocheting throws which she donated to Helping Hands, traveling and camping. Over the years she taught Sunday school at many different churches and transported many children to church. But her deepest love was reserved for her family. Friends may call Monday, September 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Timothy Wesco will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Asera Care Hospice, Elkhart.
