Doris Elaine Graber, 58, died late Thursday night, February 4, 2010, at her home. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in January of 2006. She was born in Goshen on January 28, 1952, to Vernon and Lila (Chupp) Christner. She married Richard Graber on November 28, 1970, in Goshen. He survives. A waitress and a homemaker, she also enjoyed cooking, fishing, sewing, puzzles, southern gospel music, and above all else, spending time with her family. She is survived by her father and her step-mother, Vernon “Shorty” and Lavina Christner; two daughters, Tina (Ronald) Hicks, Cassandra (Corey) Detweiler, both of Elkhart; two sisters, Charlotte (David) Miller, Middlebury, Cheryl (James) McBride, New Paris; and two grandchildren, Ian Holdread and Zachary Hicks. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and from 9-9:45 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Jane Miller, Chaplain of Care at Home Hospice, and Rev. Terry Diener, of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be made out to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
