Doris Ebersole

March 24, 1922 — January 13, 2018

Goshen-Doris Ebersole, 95, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at her home.

She was born March 24, 1922 in Archbold, Ohio to Oscar and Herma (Nofziger) Gautsche.

She graduated from LaJunta School of Nursing and worked as a nurse.

On June 17, 1951 she married Robert Ebersole in Archbold.

Doris was well known for her gifts of hospitality, cooking and welcoming presence. She designed and made beautiful quilts for family and community. She also showed her creativity through cake decorating, flower arranging and oil painting. She was an active member of Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold, and her mission every day was to be a faithful servant of God.

Robert survives along with four children, Donald (Carol) Ebersole, Goshen, Patricia (Joel) Zwier, Goshen, James (Carol Maynard) Ebersole, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jon (Peggy) Ebersole, Oak Park, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild and four siblings, Mary (Victor) Diller, Medway, Ohio, Dale Gautsche, Archbold, Ohio, Alice Schmucker, Toledo, Ohio and Glenda (Tony) Hurst, Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar and Richard Gautsche.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the 12 p.m. memorial service at Yoder Culp Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to MCC and Joni and Friends-Chicago.
