Donnabell Smoker, 91, of Goshen died Monday afternoon, March 7, 2016 at the Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born September 13, 1924 in New Paris to John and Marie (Hepler) Smith.
On August 16, 1945 she married Byron Smoker at First Brethren Church, New Paris. He died July 18, 2007.
Survivors include two children, Doug (Sara) Smoker, Goshen and Nancy (Donn) Huber, New Paris; son-in-law, Fred Schrock, Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Phillip (Jennifer) Smoker, Timothy (Michelle) Smoker, Sarah (Ross) Beehler and Stephen (Kayla) Huber; and 14 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Schrock, a brother, Kenneth Smith and a sister, Mary Rock.
A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Smoker was a homemaker and member of New Paris Missionary Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren and collecting antiques. A special joy was spending time at her home in the Bahamas.
Friends may call Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Friday, March 11, 2016 at New Paris Missionary Church, 67651 State Route 15, New Paris. Pastor David Hackney will officiate.
Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
