Donna M. Troup, 74, of Goshen, died late Thursday evening, October 8, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare.  She had been in failing health the past two months. She was born in Kosciusko County, Indiana, on December 10, 1934, to the late Dewey and Iva (Hoppes) Rhoades.  She married Keith O. Troup on February 1, 1953, in Morris Chapel Methodist Church in Pierceton, Indiana.  He survives. A 1951 graduate of Pierceton High School, Mrs. Troup worked at Homecrest until her retirement in 1996.  She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen.  A walker, she enjoyed hiking trails in Arizona.  She was a lifeline volunteer, along with her husband, at Goshen General Hospital. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Connie McCloughen of South Bend, and Angela (Michael) Taylor of Goshen; two sons, Ronald Troup of Goshen and Randy Troup of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Hoover, LaGrange, Indiana, Norma (Merle) Tethrake of Milford, Indiana, and Melba (Robert) Fleischauer of LaGrange, Indiana; and three brothers, Arden (Mary) Rhoades of Warsaw, Indiana, Phillip (Cheryl) Rhoades of Goshen, and Eddie (Sharon) Rhoades of Oelwein, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Rob McCloughen in 2005 and a brother, Max Rhoades. Friends may call 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 11, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 12, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.  Pastor Mike Tarner will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Goshen Care at Home Hospice or St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
